My Creature is a Giant Penguin. A giant penguin is a penguin that is almost the size of a man that is really tall for a penguin. Other penguins can not do this but giant penguins can fly, it is amazing isn’t it? The Giant Penguins are extinct now and extinct means that they don’t exist anymore.
Some things I needed to consider about my creature:
An iceberg for it to slide on, and fish in a pool for him to splash Into and the fish to eat. Some cold snow so he can’t get too warm.
My enclosure has these special features for my pet:
An iceberg and an igloo all in one with a slide that’s made out of ice as well. Also a swimming pool for him to splash into from sliding down the slide and going to swim and get the fish to eat (also some little fishes on every square for snacks):)
What I am pleased about:
I am pleased about the little goldfishes in all of the big squares because I thought that it would be a good touch and also for the giant penguin to eat. I am also pleased about the swimming pool, I didn’t have time to put the rest of the fishes in but the pool still turned out good.
What I have found tricky:
What I have found tricky was the iceberg staying together like I wanted it to, it was really hard to make it out of cardboard. The other thing that was hard was getting the iceberg and the swimming pool to stay on the bottom cardboard.
What I would like to improve:
I would like to improve the bottom pieces of cardboard on the bottom of the iceberg and the swimming pool. I think that I should of stayed with one color one the bottom cardboard. Also the iceberg I should've used something else that is easier.

Persuasive writing Term 3 Week 4
WALT persuade other students to agree with our opinion. This the purpose for my writing.
Success Criteria:
- I plan for a writing task
- I write a variety of sentence lengths with different sentence starters
- Give reasons with detail - use specific words
- I write most topic and high frequency words correctly.
- I use capital letters, fullstops, question marks and exclamation marks correctly.
- Use persuasive language
WE SHOULD ALLOW PETS IN SCHOOL
I strongly believe that pets should be in school.
I think pets should be in school because they can be trained to help other people with lots of stuff. All pets are useful for lots of problems, for example, a cat can be helpful, say there was a mouse then a cat can help by chasing it out of the classroom. We could all we have a turn of bringing one pet each day.
Pets can be in school because they are cuddly and so warm and soft to cuddle with in the daytime. When you’re alone in the playground you snuggle up and play around with them. Pets can be cute, dogs can beg for stuff with big sad eyes that are so round and and cute.
Finally you need to find suitable pets to bring to school like a dog, a cat or a bird or something that we can have in school. To keep your pets safe you need to close the doors and if you have a bird you must keep it In its cage. To keep the school safe you need to not bring large animals, like if you have an elephant for a pet it would crash the whole school into bits.
Finally, I believe that pets can be in school.

Area - Week 6
We've been learning about Area, we've been doing area for quite a while. We learned about rows and columns. We even made a bus with rows and columns. Rows means right across and columns means come on down.
Area is the total number of square units inside a shape. So just say that there was 5 rows and 10 columns - that would be 5 times 10 equals 50 square units.

Match Sticks - Week 3
On Wednesday my class and I were making our names out of match sticks. I chose to do my name 20cm tall, we all had to make our names out of 50 match sticks. The learning was that the starting point and finishing point are very important.

The Ice Princess and the Fire Queen - Week two.
- Queen Elsa's powers have suddenly turned into fire. Anna got Elsa's power and Elsa turned evil.
- Anna's not evil like her sister, Anna is still very nice.
- Elsa wants to have the whole world to herself just like her mum and dad, so she killed her parents and then she got crownd queen. She ordered the guards to tell the whole world that Elsa was the new ruler of the world.
- Next Elsa turned the whole castle into fire, the castle didn't burn or kill everyone it just stayed on fire for a very long time.
